The Effigies Series

Hello fellow readers!
     So I just finished a book called Fate of Flames by Sarah Raughley. It is an amazing book and I want to share it with you. There is also a second book called Seige of Shadows but I haven't read it yet because only just finished the first book today. I will update you, though, once I have read it. Here is a summary on Fate of Flames. I hope it will inspire you to read the book!
   



     Four girls with the power to control the elements,
must come together to save the world from a terrible evil.
There have been Phantom (a beast, made from darkness 
and nightmares) attacks all over the world, putting lives in 
danger, when Maia, a high school student, unexpectedly 
becomes the new Fire Effigy. It also seems that the Phantoms 
are being controlled. The four girls need to end this before the
 person-or thing-controlling the Phantoms gets to powerful.

    



   
     Like I said before, I hope this summary inspires you to read this spectacular book and that if you do read it you enjoy it just as much as I did!

Hello! So, for school, we had to do an African country report. One of the ways we presented our country to the rest of the class was to make a dish from our country and we had an African feast. My country was South Africa, so I made Ystervarkies. "Ystervarkie" means "hedgehog" in Afrikaans. A ystervarkie (the dessert) is a sponge cake coated in a chocolate syrup then rolled in coconut flakes. The coconut flakes are what is supposed to make this dessert resemble a hedgehog, but I don't really think it does. Regardless, they were delicious and I will definitely be making them again!    Hi! One of my favorite series is the Willow Falls series. There are four books and each one is about a different girl, but they all go to the same middle school so they know of each other.
